Shores Spartans Youth Tackle Football

Our mission is simple – provide a program for kids that teaches them more than

football. Unlike other youth programs, where the focus is all on winning, we take the time to teach our kids the game. They learn how to compete as a team, not as an individual. We don’t play favorites and we don’t focus on the “superstars”. Game-day playing time is earned, and every player in our program gets a chance.

 

We also think it’s important to teach our kids life lessons - the value of hard work,

discipline, sacrifice, leadership and competition; how to put your individual needs

aside for the betterment of the team. These are the qualities that hold value later in

life and allow these young boys to grow up into respectable, hard-working, family men.

 

When we started, we felt if we successfully taught the game and these principles that

the “Wins” would come. And they did. We went from a (4-27) club record in our first

year (2014), to our 12u team making a Super Bowl appearance in 2016.  In 2022, our 13u team brought home the organization's first Super Bowl.

 

Our program today is made up of players from many diverse backgrounds.  In addition

to serving kids from Miami Shores and Biscayne Park, our kids also come to us from North Miami, North Miami Beach, Miami Beach, El Portal, Little Haiti and other unincorporated Miami-Dade neighborhoods.   

 

As we look ahead to the future of our program, we also look back at what we’ve accomplished in a few short years – providing a family-oriented, positive environment for children to play competitive football and learn some of life’s hardest lessons.
